What girl doesn’t love a little shimmer and sparkle? Clean, modern shapes and a minimalist vibe keep glittery gold, blush pink, and icy blue hues from looking too girly-girl or frou-frou. Matte, rosy golds and gold ombre (hello, Maggie Austin’s “Appliqué” cake!) also help to keep the color palette fresh. Pearlescent votives add a cool shimmer. And the star of it all is a glimmering wall display made out of bright white lights and mirror garlands. This would be a perfect backdrop for your bar, dessert table, or DJ booth. We love the painted gold chair and spray-painted billy buttons presented in a simple pink glass bottle set on gold glitter paper in place of linen. Both were part of a styled shoot executed by Kellie Keno and Elissa Keno for Elizabeth Anne Designs’ Inspired Creations contest. Last but not least, we had to include this gold leaf-filled acrylic table, called Table d’Oreé, made in the early ’60s by famous French artist Yves Klein. It’s currently on sale at Artnet. Outrageously expensive and totally unrealistic, we know, but a girl can dream!
