Shot by husband-and-wife photography duo Tim & Jess, this remarkable love session has left us awestruck in so many ways. There’s the beautiful couple, Melissa and Justin, who exude a blissful, radiant kind of love. There’s the Mojave Desert, home of the Joshua tree, with its wistfully pale sands, vivid blue skies, and whimsical flora. There are the wonderful bits of vintage Americana that were thoughtfully incorporated into the day. And then there are the masterfully composed photographs, which are as mesmeric as a mirage. Tim & Jess have that rare ability to truly connect with the people they photograph, and this quality shines through every image. With natural grace, the two captured genuine moments of sweetness set against the arid beauty of the landscape.
Melissa is a geologist turned antiques retailer, and the shoot was a reflection of her interests. A vintage trailer borrowed from her step-dad for the day was decked out with ephemera of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, the quintessential Hollywood Western couple. Fresh, fun, and vibrant, Melissa’s look complemented the setting to a tee. She paired classic Frye boots with this playful, boldly striped button-front dress by Tracy Reese and adorned her hair with a romantic heirloom bloom given to her by her grandmother.
We know you’ll be just as swept away as we were by this sweet desert love story.
