I’m a bit of a color fanatic, so the all-white wedding isn’t my everyday cup of tea, but there’s no denying the dreaminess factor and entrancing effect of layers upon layers of soft, dovelike whiteness. If I had to plan a wedding with a white palette, my flower of choice would be the fragrant orchid, one of the oldest flowering plants on Earth, having been around since the age of the dinosaurs. (I’m also fascinated by Victorian-era orchid hunters, but that’s another story.) Here’s my little ode to the white orchid in all her forms!
P.S. We highly recommend the White Lady, a frothy, sophisticated cocktail consisting of gin, Cointreau, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. We also love this elegant letterpressed orchid invitation suite designed by the fabulous ladies of Hello! Lucky.
