Today’s end-of-the-week board was inspired by Sareh Nouri’s exquisitely graceful “Sophie” gown, a peachy blush creation with a delightfully voluminous skirt made up of seemingly endless ruffled organza tiers that move like gently rippling water. As a backdrop for this gown, we envision a refined and richly romantic setting that hearkens back to the Old World. The color palette—tender peach, pale yellow, tawny orange, and herbaceous green—is sophisticated, unexpected, and seasonless. A gown like this deserves to be paired with flowers befitting a Byzantine garden, and we love the lush, loose, fragrant floral arrangement, which includes pale yellow and peach garden roses, orange ranunculi, yellow cockscomb, and rust-colored coneflowers, in addition to jasmine, mint, figs, scented geranium, and fuzzy almonds. We’re also keen on the aromatic honey saffron ginger cocktail, created by epicurean extraordinaire Maggie Batista of Eat Boutique and photographed by one of our favorite photographers, Heidi Murphy of White Loft Studio. Like the gown itself, it’s delicate yet bold.
