If you haven’t heard, Pantone’s newly announced Color of the Year is—drum roll, please—Emerald! We’re rather excited about this, not only because the hue is so versatile, but also because it’s universally flattering, which means that our closets for the next twelve months are going to be filled with a shade that won’t make us look scarily similar to Casper the Friendly the Ghost. Emerald has regal overtones, so we wanted to bring that quality out. Our first instinct was to pair the color with coral, and we eventually came up with this board, which we think evokes a hauntingly beautiful mood of decaying splendor and crumbling tropical opulence. This color combo definitely ranks among our favorites. What do you think? Hit or miss?
