imn & Lovely was founded by two twin sisters: Ashley Ainsborough, a world-wandering fashionista based out of London, and San Franciscan Lauren Kathryn, a newlywed book editor who had no idea how artful weddings could be until she began the wedding planning process herself.
Our mission is to provide brides- and grooms-to-be with fresh and modern wedding inspiration; to showcase the most talented wedding service providers from the East Coast to the West; and to feature a well-curated, diverse selection of real weddings. In a nutshell, we aim to uncover all that’s wonderful in the world of weddings and to serve as a valuable resource during your wedding planning journey, whether your budget is of the sky-is-the-limit variety or the sofa-spelunking-for-spare-change kind.
What is limn?
One of Lauren’s favorite words, limn is an obsolete verb that means “to illuminate” or “to suffuse or highlight something with a bright color or light.” One source claims the word refers to the brief, multicolored shimmer that appears over a lake just before sundown. Oh so lovely, no?
